Our fashion - style
These days many people have their own style which is expressing their personalities and individuality through the clothes that they wear.
Now we love clothes, so we decided to share with you some of our go to looks, and what type of things you would find in our wardrobes!
(ignore all of my stupid faces in photos)
Now for anyone who knows me they know I'm a massive Disney nerd, and no Disney nerd wardrobe is compleat with out a abundance of Disney tee-shirts and jumpers. I own a a few Disney items (over 20 to be precise). I normally pair these tops with black leggings or jeans, or if I'm actually in Disney a pair of shorts or skirt and no Disney look can go with out mouse ears! My favourite Disney item at the moment has to be my Epcot (or should that be, experimental prototype community of tomorrow) jumper.
Now summer is coming to an end a the colder months are on the horizon, my love for warm clothing grows bigger by the day! If it's knitted, oversized, soft, fluffy and cwtchy (all the welsh people knows what that means!) then I adore it! As it become more like winter week by week I've started to stock up on jumpers, cardigans, jackets and coats every time I go out shopping I seem to be buying one of these items, but is that a bad thing? They are a great addition to any wardrobe, they are easy to pair with other items of clothing, they instantly make any outfit look ready for Christmas (my favourite time of the year) and they are super practical as they keep you warm.
Let's talk accessories, there is one thing I love and that's hats, all types of hats. I have a box full to burst of hats, they are my easy go to accessory. Hats can be a saviour, bad hair day? No problem stick a hat on your head and your sorted, instead of getting funny looks because of the state of you hair, you'll be getting compliments on your cute hat! I own many hats of all different styles, from beanies to sun hats, to bowler hats, to the plain old silly ones with ears, I can't get enough hats! From Disney, to cozy jumpers, to hats, my style is very diverse I don't think I can say 'yep that's my style' because I don't have just one style, it normally all depends on how I feel when I wake up in the morning, one day I could be wearing a Disney tee-shirt, leggings and a hat with ears and then the next day I could be wearing a oversized cardigan, with ripped jeans and a crop top! Style shows personality, and by the looks of it I have many different personalities, but I am ME and that's never gonna change!
-Kate.
Now like Kate I also have many personalities and so my style varies from day to day. Now one item of clothing I'm absolutely obsessed with is my denim shirt. It's such a classic and simple piece of clothing but it's great for casual and even smart/casual wear if you pair it with the right things. I usual wear it with my black skinny jeans and pretty much any tee shirt I can find then I complete the look by wearing (fake, unfortunately) Timberland boots. However, you could always do the buttons up and perhaps wear a nice necklace and of course black skinny jeans and some pretty boots, perfect for a meal out with friends or family.Stationery - school
Well it's that time of year again, everyone is getting ready for another year of learning (and maybe exams). There's one thing that should be top of everyone's list. Stationery.
Everyone needs pens, pencils and of course felt tip pens for doodling in those boring classes.
My favourite part of back to school shopping is definitely stationery and supplies, I usually get all my things from Wilkos as it's cheap and excellent quality! This year I was in need of folders, notebooks and a diary as I'm starting college and I found Wilkos had a fabulous range of these products at very good prices. For example I bought these 3 coloured folders for only 50p each!!
Also this beautiful diary with the quote "Every journey begins with a single step" which I found perfect. It's also great as it's an academic diary so it starts July 2015 and ends July 2016.
I'm actually a pretty organised person (though many people don't believe it!) and so when I saw this project book I knew I had to have it. You may be aware of the 'Pukka pad' project books, well I love them but always find them a little on the expensive side but when I saw Wilkos had their own it went straight into my basket!
Now pens are a very important aspect of stationery shopping. My favourite types of pens are the 'Bic' pens as they're great quality. I bought a packet of 10 in Wilkos, which included 2 black pens, 4 blue pens, 2 red pens and 2 green pens.
However when I was in The Works I saw a very cute blue pen covered in ice creams with smily faces so obviously I bought that too because every girl needs a cute pen!
Anyway, I hope this post has given you a few ideas of any stationery you may need for back to school!
Our next post on Sunday is a joint one all about style.
Until then, byeeeee

Youtube - Fandoms
As you may be aware (unless you've been living under a rock) youtube is becoming more and more popular everyday. Well it's pretty understandable as you can find almost everything on there, from daily volgs to makeup tutorials to computer gaming to funny cat videos.
Although there is a lot of funny videos on YouTube, you can also find a lot of people discussing serious topics such as videos about being comfortable as yourself and getting through things such as anxiety and panic attacks.
YouTube has also created some very big stars such as Alfie Deyes (pointlessblog), Zoe Sugg (Zoella), Tyler Oakley and of course many more. Writing books has also become something many youtubers go on to do. Whether they be about life or cooking or fictional, they are becoming increasingly popular.
I'm currently obsessed with "A very potter musical" (thanks to Kate) which is a series of 3 musicals which are a parody of the Harry Potter books/films. It was created by a production team called 'Starkid' so they're definitely worth checking out on YouTube, they also parody many more films (such as Aladdin and Batman) if Harry Potter isn't your cup of tea.
I also absolutely adore 'Zalfie' which are probably Youtube's biggest couple, Alfie Deyes and Zoe Sugg.
One of my all time favourites however, is Miranda Sings who is a comedic character played by the amazing Colleen Ballinger (now Evans).
Previously, Kate and I attempted to make our own Youtube channel but unfortunately it didn't really hit off and it got deleted due to inactivity and its little views. However, when we did record a few videos I think we saw the difficulty many Youtuber's go through such as thinking of a video idea, filming it and editing it. It's actually not as easy as you may believe it to be.
Anyway, that's all for today from me.
Next upload with be a joint on Sunday!

Leaving school - school
Although it's nearing towards the end of the summer holidays, we thought we'd look back and share our experiences of leaving school and what we're both looking forward to as we start new chapters in our education.
Be prepared for a long post!
When I started secondary school it was very difficult, I was always a quiet child and because of that I struggled to make friends, meaning I had no one and my school life was miserable and I didn't want to go! However my school were able to deal with me and my problems and got me through my first year, they were able to introduce me to people who I have been friends with for what now seems like forever.
On Thursday I got handed my A-Level results I had two A*'s and a B which I am very happy with, but it does mean that my time in school has officially ended. Now technically I finished school in June, had my prom July 3rd and a leavers presentation on July 4th so I have been away from the school for quite a while. Leaving made me sad but happy at the same time there were so many mixed emotions, no matter how much I hated the school when I first started they got me through so much, and if it wasn't for them I wouldn't be the person I am today.
One thing I have found since leaving school is that I don't see my friends as much, when I was in school I would see them everyday now I hardly see them at all. However we do try and talk as much as we can, as I've gone through so much with these people and they mean so much to me I wouldn't want to throw it all away. I feel like it's important to keep these friendships as they are going to be some of the strongest bonds you are ever going to have, if your friends are anything like mine they know you inside out and that's one thing you don't want to lose. There's many ways to keep in touch with your friends nowadays, Social media is a great way to talk and keep up to date with each others lives, text and Skype always come in useful when you need to talk and also make sure you make some time to meet up with each other and have a great catch up!
Now after you leave school there are many paths you may take, personally im going to university to further my education as I feel like it's going to help me get where I want to go in life, but many of my friends are doing other things. There's an option for a job, jump straight into the work place and start earning money, if you know where you want to go start working your way up the ladder. Maybe take a gap year, especially if you aren't sure on what you want to do, this will give you more time to figure out where you want to go next. Go back to college and get some more A-levels, maybe you feel like the qualifications you have aren't going to get you where you want to go, so go and get what you need.
The change from being in school to leaving is scary but it's something that bound to happen at some point just take it in your stride.
- Kate.
Now let's have a look at Lauren's experience.
Right, well I also finished school a while ago as my prom and leaver's presentation was on June 19th. I started comprehensive school in 2010 and I absolutely loved it, although I was separated from most of my friends I managed to meet 4 fantastic people who pretty much have stayed by my side through everything over the past 5 years. Like Kate it also saddens me that I don't see them as much anymore now school has ended but hopefully when I start college in September we will all still be as close and hopefully I'll get to meet some more great people.
June 15th marked the last day of my GCSE exams and I was so happy they were finally over. All exams and coursework completed I was ready to enjoy my summer. Last year I managed to sit a few of my GCSEs early and I was very pleased with the outcome and that then gave me a lot of encouragement for the following year and also took a whole lot of worries off my shoulders (although throughout my exams and coursework this year I did worry a lot and I worried so much I honestly thought I couldn't get through it, but I did!). If you're like me and panic a lot, just remember everything happens for a reason and you will get through it.
I feel quite unlucky in a way as my school doesn't offer a sixth form so I'm unable to do my a-levels at the same school I did my GCSEs but at least I get to start a new chapter and go to a sixth form college to do my a-levels. I'm sad that my time at my school has ended but honestly the best thing to do is look to the future, whether it be college and university or a completly different route, it'll be good and exciting and I think everyone should think like that. I'm currently awaiting my results for my GCSEs now and hopefully they are the grades I need to be able to study what I want in college for me then to be able to continue education into university.
-Lauren
Anyway, although that was a long post we hope that it's helped others who have finished school and are looking into furthering their education or whether you're still in the middle of your school experience but worried about when it comes to an end.
Until next time,
-Kate and Lauren.

Dessert love - food
If there's one thing I love it has to be food. More importantly, desserts. Although I am very partial to savoury food and snacks, I have such a sweet tooth.
Cake is definitely one of my favourite desserts, along with Ice cream, chocolate and sweets ( or well pretty much any sort of sweet thing I can get my hands on!)
Eating out in restaurants is also a thing I enjoy as it's great for trying new foods and enjoying some really good classics. Anyway, I'm going to talk about a few of my favourite restaurants and my favourite desserts from there and hopefully you can try these and enjoy them too! ( These may only be available in the UK as they are UK restaurants)
Dessert #1
Frankie and Benny's
Peanut butter cheesecake
Rate out of 10 : 9
This dessert is a must have for anyone with a love of peanut butter (like me). This cheesecake is topped with peanuts and has 3 layers of delicious chocolate and peanut butter. It's also served with peanut butter ice cream which just complements the cheesecake so well.
Dessert #2
Harvester
Brownie, toffee and cookie dough stack
Rate out of 10 : 8
This is definitely for someone who has a massive sweet tooth! Another dessert of 3 layers but this time with a very chocolaty brownie on top, thick toffee sauce oozing in the middle and cookie dough at the bottom to give it that extra delicious flavour. Also served with vanilla ice cream and a thin layer of toffee sauce. The only negative aspect of this dessert (not really a negative in my eyes) is that it's super sickly and although it may look quite small it is very filling!!
Dessert #3
Aberkenfig New Garden Chinese (definitely worth a visit if you're visiting / living in Wales! )
Chocolate gateaux
Rate out of 10 : 8
Ahh what a classic! This tasty chocolate gateaux is perfect if you're looking for something to satisfy your sweet tooth after an amazing but savoury Chinese meal. A slice of this gateaux with a delicious chocolate sauce drizzled over it is just what any chocolate lover needs. So if you ever find yourself in South Wales (UK) then it's definitely worth giving this cake some attention!
Well there's my first solo post done! I'm just glad that it was on food as it's one of my most loved subjects.
Next post will be Sunday and it's a joint one all about school life.
Thanks for reading

The Beginning
Hello,
Welcome to our blog!
You might be wondering who we are, we are two aspiring Welsh bloggers called Kate and Lauren.
Hii I'm Kate, an 18 year old Disney enthusiast, theatre geek who's just starting university. I've always wanted to start a blog but I've never known how and I didn't want to go at it alone, so I managed to rope my cousin Lauren into it with me. One important thing you may need to know about me is that I have dyslexia so there may be the odd spelling or grammar mistake, but I'll try my best to avoid it. My posts will be about things I love and care about, sharing a little part of me.
Hi, I'm Lauren. I'm 16 and just starting sixth form college. I am absolutely obsessed with criminology and also just learning in general, History and English literature are big loves of mine. Like Kate I also have a huge passion for Disney (but I'm not as obsessed as her). One important fact about me is I am incredibly materialistic! I see shopping as an Olympic sport. In my posts you'll find a lot of things in brackets (I can't help it) and also my honest opinions.
In this blog you will find a wide variety of topics from food to school to style to fandoms. The upload schedule will be : Tuesdays - Kate's posts, Thursdays - Lauren's posts and Sundays - Joint posts.
We hope you stick around for the adventure and learn along with us.
- Kate and Lauren.
