We are two Welsh cousins called Kate and Lauren, who decided to start a blog. Kate is 18 years old and is the biggest Disney nerd there is, and Lauren is 16 years old and is obsessed with criminology. The blog will have a wide variety of topics that we both love and are able to talk about with ease.

October favourites

Okay so it's the last Sunday of the month so that means we are going to talk about all the things we have been loving this month.

Kate -
First off I'm super exited to be starting monthly favourites on our blog, it's somthing I've been looking at doing for a while and now I'm actually doing it! Yay, anyway let's get to it, here are some of my favourites this month...

My university room -
Yes I moved in during September, but I feel like I've finally settled in to the room this month and I love it.
The room it's self is amazing and the people I share the flat with are also amazing, things couldn't be better! I never thought my university accomidation would feel like home but it dose and it's been so nice making this place my own. On Tuesday I will be writing a post all about my room and the things I've done to make it mine, I'll also do a post on decorating my room for Christmas closer to the festive season.

Username Evie -
This is a graphic novel by joe sugg (also known as thatcherjoe on YouTube). I bought this book at the begging of the month and I read it from cover to cover in a day, and I've read it so many times since its that brilliant. I'm a big fan of Joe on YouTube and that was one of the main reasons that I bought the book and I'm so glad I did, it's one of them stories that I'm never going to get bored of. Even if you don't know who Joe Sugg is you'll love the book, I was able to relate to the story so much and I feel like so many others will too.

Wonder hand -
Zoella beauty's wonder hand, moisturising hand cream has been a life saver this month. Okay so I feel like so many of my favourites are coming from youtubers this month, especially the Suggs, this is one of the products from Zoe sugg's ( also known as Zoella on YouTube ) beauty range. With the weather getting colder, my hands are getting dryer and dryer but this hand cream is a life or should I say hand saver. It's the perfect size to through in your handbag with out taking up tones of room, it also doesn't leave your hands sticky or greasy after using it which is something I hate about most moisturisers. It also smells amazing, it's not to strong but there is a definite sent which is lovely to catch hint of every now and then.

Colourful pens -
I've always been a big pen lover and stationary is one of my many weaknesses, as soon as I see a cute pen or notebook I instantly need it. With being in university I wanted to become a lot more organised meaning I've started colour coordinating everything, which meant buying so many different colour pens. The ones I've been loving the most are the tesco's own ones, I can't remember the price but they weren't expensive, the colour on them are brilliant they are bright and clear, they also write really smooth which is what makes the perfect pen for me.

Bandanas -
So I've been loving these for a while, but this month I feel like they have become a obsession. Doing a course in drama is very physical and means a move around a lot, so I've found my self picking up a bandana more often than normal and it's the perfect way to keep my hair out of my face. Bandanas are becoming my go to hair accessory, especially if my hair is dirty and I'm being to lazy to wash it ( disgusting I know ) I feel like the bandana hides the fact I haven't washed my hair and gives it a cute style. Before this month I owned two bandanas and now I own five, I have started buying the colours that I know will match my outfits and it's becoming a small problem ( a problem I love, but in sure my bank account will hate )

Lauren -
One thing everyone needs to know about me is that I actually am I very boring person. When it comes to favourites, I either have a thousand things I like or there's very little and unfortunately this month there is very little I've found I actually like. Here's a few things that I have loved this month...

Ben and Jerry's peanut butter cups ice cream -
This was on offer in a shop near me and thanks to Kate I have a serious obsession with peanut butter now and so I just had to try this. It was absolutely amazing, if you're like me and love peanut butter then you MUST try this!! I can't even explain how much I'm in love with this ice cream.

Leather Jacket -
For ages I have wanted a leather jacket and finally I have one. I found them all to be really expensive and as I'm a student, currently without a job, I still rely mostly on my mother for money so leather jackets were always out of the picture. However, we were looking around for Christmas presents in Tesco and out of the corner of my eye I saw an amazing leather jacket for only £32. It's one of the nicest around too especially for the price.

Maybelline super stay 10h tint gloss -
Now I had this lip gloss a few months ago but as it was summer and the gloss colour was purple it didn't really work well with any of my summer clothes but as it's now autumn I think the colour looks amazing (especially with my new leather jacket). I was always afraid to wear dark lipstick as I'm so pale but I think the purple really complements my skin and looks very autumnal.

Twenty-One Pilots -
These are a group that most people haven't heard of, their music style is quite different and I wouldn't even know how to explain them to people. One of my best friends introduced me to them and for some reason over the past few weeks I have become obsessed and downloaded most of their songs! My absolute favourite song by them is 'The Judge' it's quite different from what I usually listen to but if you have a minute spare definitely take the time to listen to them.

Quiz up -
This is quite an old app but I rediscovered it earlier this month and forgot how amazing it was. You can challenge people around the world on a whole range of topics. The Disney Princess topics I am challenging people to over and over again because it is just so addictive!

So that's all the things we've been loving this month,
Until next time,

- Kate and Lauren.

Dyslexia- school

My teachers thought it was a phase that I would grow out of, but that wasn't the case. My mother knew that there was more to it, and asked for me to be tested, and in year 5 of primary school I was diagnosed with dyslexia.

Having dyslexia in primary school wasn't that bad, there were small classes so I could have a little more time with my teachers, the work load wasn't massive and I was able to take my time. However I did still have my fair share of problems.
In year 6 I had a teacher who didn't fully understand my dyslexia. To talk to I was a fairly smart child, I could talk for the country, but being able to put the stuff in my mind down on paper was very difficult.

My teacher in year 6 didn't understand that I learnt in different ways to the other children in my class and that I had to put things in my own way, which meant we had a few disagreements.
One of the biggest falling outs I remember having with this teacher was when he wanted to keep me in at lunch time as I didn't pass our weekly spelling test. When he asked if I had learnt the spellings, I told him "yes I learnt them this morning", as my memory wasn't brilliant I would have to learn my spellings on the way to school so that they were fresh in my mind ready for the test, but my teacher didn't think this was a good idea, that I hadn't given myself time to learn them and that was lazy and the reason that I didn't do well, and when I didn't see it fair for him to keep me in on that lunch time he wasn't happy.

Going into secondary school things changed, classes were bigger, there was more work and things moved at a faster pace which meant my dyslexia definitely got in my way.

A few times a week I got pulled out of classes to be able to work in a small group and look at different ways to battle my dyslexia, but these little group session caused me a few issues. The group work was amazing, there were three of us in the group and we all got along, and the work we used to do really helped but the way the other students reacted to us getting pulled out of classes wasn't great. Now I'm sure everyone gets bullied at some point in their lives and my bully experience came in school due to dyslexia. So I didn't get beaten up or bullied in a physical manner but words can hurt to. I got called stuipd so many times because of my dyslexia, but thanks to my amazing friends who stood up for me the bully's soon gave up on me.

In exam season in secondary school I was allowed extra time to compleat the exams, which again caused me a few problems. Some people didn't think it was fair for me and the other dyslexics to have extra time and they looked at it as cheating as we were all sitting the same exam, but we were allowed more time to compleat it. Now this wasn't the case, it was in no way cheating, having dyslexia means that I do happen to read slower, write slower and also being able to move the answers from my head on to paper took time. But most of the time I didn't use the extra time as I didn't need it, which was always a good feeling, as it kinda showed that even though I had dyslexia I didn't need no special treatment.

Growing up with dyslexia wasn't all bad, yes I got bullied for a little while, and I often felt left out as I couldn't do things in lessons that the others could, but dyslexia made me who I am.

It's made me unique, I look at things in a different way to others, which has often gave me a step up in situations.
I've learnt to love my dyslexia and all that comes with it, people can make any comment they want about dyslexics and it wouldn't bother me any more, as I know that I am smart in my own way, I make it work for me because it's who I am.

Until next time, see you later alligator.

Becoming Peter Pan and Tinkerbell - lifestyle

With Halloween coming up we thought we would talk about the day when we became Peter Pan and Tinkerbell.

No matter how old, dressing up is always fun! In this post we'll give some tips and tricks on cheap ways to become your favourite characters.

Peter pan -
Now if you're female (like me) then becoming a boy is slightly harder but still doable and fun. My costume was bought online as it was easier for last minute but there are plenty of other cheap ways to dress up.

Costume -
Green leggins
A green t-shirt
Brown boots
Green peter pan style hat (available online or in fancy dress shops)

Hair -
If female then a wig may be needed or you could just tie long hair up in bun

Makeup -
Brown eyebrow pencil (to create the freckled look)
Blush (pink)
Mascara
(Of course this is from a girls perspective so makeup is optional)

Tinkerbell -
My costume was also bought online but there is again so many other ways of creating the look.

Costume -
A green dress, or a oversized long green t-shirt
Wings ( available online or in a fancy dress shop )
Green shoes

Hair -
I went for a wig but the look can easily be recreated with out one.
Put your hair into a high ballerina bun and add a little green ribbon around it.

Make up -
Foundation
Power
Blush (pink)
Light eyebrow pencil (especially if you have dark brows like I do)
Mascara
Lip tint (dark pink)
And glitter ( this is optional but I feel like it give that extra fairy/pixie touch)

And to finish off the perfect tinkerbell look don't forget that pixie attitude!

Now we both like to dress up and put a lot of effort into costumes, but if that isn't for you, you could look into Disney bounding as your favourite character, it's a way of adding a splash of character into casual clothes, it's dressing up without dressing up!

Until next time,

-Kate and Lauren.

Being back

We're back and can't wait to start blogging again!
It's been a while and things have been super busy and we can't wait to tell you about all the new things happening in our lives.

Things are going to slightly change from the way we use to blog before but it's not going to make that much of a difference.
When we started blogging we had set topics that we would write about and the topics would rotate, however it sarted to get be one difficult to keep the patten if you didn't have a idea for the chosen topic, so from now on we will be keeping the topics but choosing which one we want to write about on our day.
Also if a day is missed we are sorry it all depends on our work load in college and university, we will try our hardest to keep updating.

We are also introducing a new topic call favourites, where on the last Sunday of each month we will take about all the things we have been loving for the month.

That's all for now, see ya next time ,

-Kate and Lauren.

New life - review

As it's been mentioned Lauren won't be having that much to do with the the blog for the next few weeks so I'm going it alone, which means I have lost my trusty proof reader. I do suffer with dyslexia (post coming about that soon) which means my spelling, grammar and formation of sentences can sometimes be not the best, but that is somthing we are all going to have to live with for a while, hope you all understand, and don't judge me to much  :)

So far on this blog when we've looked at the topic of reviews we've turnt to books, fashion and TV, but this time it's going to be slightly different.

Somtimes you have to take a step back from your life and review it, find the good parts, the bad parts and the parts that need to be improved upon.

I've found my self doing this a lot lately, and I've learnt a lot about myself. In a few days I'll be moving away from all the comforts of home, but as these familiarities come to an end I've been seeing things in a new light and really reviewing my life.

One part of me is sad to be leaving but the other part of me is so happy to be going and leaving behind all the stupid things I've been putting up with for so long.

As I'm moving I'm not going to be seeing my 'friends' that often, now at first it was upsetting but lately things have changed, I'm sure whether it's me or them but it's just not the same anymore. I constantly feel like I'm having to prove myself to them, that I'm letting them down all the time and that's not how friends should make you feel, you shouldn't feel left out, not good enough and paranoid. Friendship is something that's going to change, its sadly become a bad part of my life that needs improvement, surround yourself with positive people that's what I'm planning to do in this new chapter of my life.

When reviewing my life I discovered how much my family means to me, they are such a good part of my life that I'm going to miss immensely when I move. I really struggle expressing my feelings and letting people know how I'm doing especially if I don't get asked, but my family are the one small group of people I can truly count on to make sure that I'm okay. Lately I've been going through some rough patches but my family have put up with me through thick and thin and that's something I'm not going to get anywhere else.

Looking at my life I can see how I've never really left my comfort zone and that's something that is bound to change. Going to a new place with new people is something I would never have pictured myself doing but it's happening and I'm stepping out of my little box. Many people don't believe in me and don't think I'm capable to go it alone, but I'm ready to prove them all wrong and show them all who I truly am.

Reviewing your life is sometimes hard to do, our judgement is clouded by the things that are familiar. Sometime to need that bolt of change to actually be able to see everything that is right and wrong in our lives, find the things that have to go and the things you'll want to treasure forever!

You can't start the next chapter in your life, if you keep re-reading the last one! As one of my favourite authors Dr Seuss said "kid you'll move mountains, today is your day, your mountain is waiting so get on your way"

Until next time, see you later alligator,

-Kate.

Friendships - School

Today was supposed to be kate's post but unfortunately she's unwell so I'm taking over, now this post may be very random and unorganised as I'm not 100% what to really write.

Anyway, I've just started college and some of you may have also just started a new school, whether it be a transition to secondary school (or high school), college or university or even that you've moved somewhere and starting a school there then you'll be thinking the same things as me. Friends.

Friends are an important part of education I feel as they can make your time more enjoyable. Even if you've just moved up with your friends you may find you're not together all the time due to different classes. This can be difficult for some people ( like me ) as it's quite hard to make new friends and I find I'm social awkward around people I don't know.

Over the past week luckily I've picked up on some things that help so hopefully it'll help you too. Number 1 : BE YOURSELF ( cliché I know ). There is no point in pretending to be someone else just to make friends as you'll soon find that you're unhappy.
Number 2 : Just smile. If you have a smile on your face then you'll seem a lot more approachable. Nothing's better than seeing a smile on yours or someone else's face.
Number 3 : Talk to people. Most people ( I'm one of them ) assume that people will just come and talk you but sometimes you need to make the first move, I know it's not as easy as it seems but you should try and if you find they're not someone you want to be the best od friends with it's perfectly okay, you will find others.
Number 4 : Be nice. Whether someone has approached you or you've approached them then talk nice to them. Making a good impression is good, you can't start a friendship by being mean!
Number 5 : Relax. Don't stress out because you haven't made best friends on the first day, everyone is feeling just as awkward and worried as you so just relax and go with it and you'll find that friendships will naturally form.

I know this post wasn't the best but I hope you feel this may have helped even just a little.

- Lauren

Everything5pound.com - Review

Okay so today Lauren was meant to be posting today but she has just started college and is super busy, and so we didn't miss out on a post I offered to do it.

Now recently I have dicovered an amazing clothing website called everything5pound.com, now I know what you might be thinking "no way Kate, a website that sells clothes for only £5 can't be true", but it is and I'm here to tell you about it.

I first discovered the website last year, someone I'm friends with on Facebook had liked the page and so I thought I would check out the website, at the time I was looking for a dress for a friends birthday party, I was able to find one on the website, ordered it and thought nothing more of it until recently.

Now when I first discovered the website I was a bit weary as everything was so cheap and clothes these days are expensive, however I was pleasantly surprised when I discovered that the website uses brands that very well known like asos and boohoo and and the quality is brilliant.

I'm starting university in a few weeks so I've been on the look out for new clothes, but being a student Im a bit strapped for cash and that's when I remembered the website.

(here are the images of the items I ordered, items may seem creased however they have just been and packaged and all sizes are UK)

Item - jumpsuit
Colour -White
Size of item in image - small
Brand - Eva & Lola

Item - dress
Colour - beige
Size of item in image - 8
Brand - Marilyn & John

Item - cropped top
Colour -White
Size of item in image - 8-10
Brand - Influence

Item - mid length skirt
Colour - mint
Size of item in image - 6
Brand - Asos

The site also sells shoes, I'm yet to have found a pair that like but I'm sure as soon as I do, I will be getting them and hopfully they will be as good as the clothes.

I would totally recommend this website to anyone, the clothes are cheap, brilliantly made and they look like the images on the website. They update the website everyday with new items so there is always going to be somthing different.

Until next time, see you later alligator,

-Kate.

Panic attacks - lifestyle

Now this is something not many people know about me and that is I suffer from panic attacks, they started at the beginning of the year and they've always been pretty small. When I get a panic attack I start sweating, shaking (not to the extent of people being able to see it, but I feel it), it becomes difficult to breathe, and my heart exhilarates so much that I feel like my chest is going to explode and I'm gonna die.

Up till now my panic attacks only happen when I'm alone, and they only last a few minutes I call them 'small panic attacks' as I can deal with them, however this changed last week.

Last Wednesday I experienced a massive panic attack, and unfortunately it happened when I was driving. The way this panic attack is different to all the other ones I've had is that it messed with my head, I felt like I was going to pass out and eyes went all fuzzy making almost impossible to see, this resulted in me swerving off the side of the road onto the grassy banking the runs along side. After my head sorted it's self out I was still having one of my 'small attacks' but I managed to drive myself home as I was only about 5 minutes away.  This panic attack was also the longest one I've ever had, as it lasted from mid afternoon when it started until I went to sleep that night, I couldn't shake it no matter what I tried.

Since the big panic attack I have had one other attack, but it was only a small one lasting a few minutes.

When I have small panic attacks I can no calm myself from them using the 4,7,8 breathing technique, this is when you inhale for 4 seconds hold your breath for 7 seconds and exhale for 8 seconds, this helps regulate my breathing and getting me concentrating on counting breath rather than the panic attack at hand.

Many panic attacks do have triggers, I've found my triggers have ranged from a lot of things sometimes I don't even know what the trigger is it just starts. However I do know when I had my big attack the trigger was the driving its self I had the feeling of not being in control of anything including myself.

Now many people may look at this and being how humanity is they will say "you don't get panic attacks" "that's not a panic attack" "you don't know what your talking about" however, all panic attacks are personal to the person receiving them, many people receive the same symptoms just in various amounts, someone may feel one thing stronger than another and someone else could have the opposite, but they are all panic attacks.

Don't think I'm weak because I have panic attacks, you'll never know how strong I am to be able to face the world everyday.

Until next time, see you later alligator.

We are going to be no longer posting in the topic of fandoms. The topic will be replaced by lifestyle where we will be talking about our lives and what goes on in them.

Our fashion - style

These days many people have their own style which is expressing their personalities and individuality through the clothes that they wear.

Now we love clothes, so we decided to share with you some of our go to looks, and what type of things you would find in our wardrobes!

(ignore all of my stupid faces in photos)

Now for anyone who knows me they know I'm a massive Disney nerd, and no Disney nerd wardrobe is compleat with out a abundance of Disney tee-shirts and jumpers. I own a a few Disney items  (over 20 to be precise). I normally pair these tops with black leggings or jeans, or if I'm actually in Disney a pair of shorts or skirt and no Disney look can go with out mouse ears! My favourite Disney item at the moment has to be my Epcot (or should that be, experimental prototype community of tomorrow) jumper.

Now summer is coming to an end a the colder months are on the horizon, my love for warm clothing grows bigger by the day! If it's knitted, oversized, soft, fluffy and cwtchy (all the welsh people knows what that means!) then I adore it! As it become more like winter week by week I've started to stock up on jumpers, cardigans, jackets and coats every time I go out shopping I seem to be buying one of these items, but is that a bad thing? They are a great addition to any wardrobe, they are easy to pair with other items of clothing, they instantly make any outfit look ready for Christmas (my favourite time of the year) and they are super practical as they keep you warm.

Let's talk accessories, there is one thing I love and that's hats, all types of hats. I have a box full to burst of hats, they are my easy go to accessory. Hats can be a saviour, bad hair day? No problem stick a hat on your head and your sorted, instead of getting funny looks because of the state of you hair, you'll be getting compliments on your cute hat! I own many hats of all different styles, from beanies to sun hats, to bowler hats, to the plain old silly ones with ears, I can't get enough hats!
(the newest hat in my collection)

From Disney, to cozy jumpers, to hats, my style is very diverse I don't think I can say 'yep that's my style' because I don't have just one style, it normally all depends on how I feel when I wake up in the morning, one day I could be wearing a Disney tee-shirt, leggings and a hat with ears and then the next day I could be wearing a oversized cardigan, with ripped jeans and a crop top! Style shows personality, and by the looks of it I have many different personalities, but I am ME and that's never gonna change!

-Kate.

Now like Kate I also have many personalities and so my style varies from day to day. Now one item of clothing I'm absolutely obsessed with is my denim shirt. It's such a classic and simple piece of clothing but it's great for casual and even smart/casual wear if you pair it with the right things. I usual wear it with my black skinny jeans and pretty much any tee shirt I can find then I complete the look by wearing (fake, unfortunately) Timberland boots. However, you could always do the buttons up and perhaps wear a nice necklace and of course black skinny jeans and some pretty boots, perfect for a meal out with friends or family.

Okay so the summer holidays are coming to a close unfortunately and as we live in the UK we get terrible summers but we luckily have had one or two nice warm sunny days so of course I took advantage of them. Even though the weather is nice there's usually still a chance of rain or it getting a little cold so I still cover up but I have to say my favourite summer outfit was a white vest top underneath a short white tee with my trusty black leggings and a pink lace kimono. To complete my summer look I also french plaited my hair as when it is warm I love my hair off my face but I'm not a fan of ponytails or buns when I go out so plaits are a summer must!
(This is a terrible picture I am aware so please ignore my face)

Our UK summers don't last but it does stay warm (sometimes) so this next piece of clothing is perfect. This raincoat is my savour, it's so light and thin for when it's warm and perfect for keeping you dry with those little summer showers. I absolutely love the pattern as it's still very summery and well I love floral designs anyway! I was first a little worried when I did buy it (well I picked it but it was bought for me) as I thought it wouldn't actually go with some of my clothes but I found it actually goes really well with everything in my wardrobe! What a bonus! (apologies about the picture but it's the only one I have wearing it, this is from my results day)

-Lauren.

So as you can see our wardrobes are full to burst with a wide range of clothes (but we can never find anything to wear when we need it!) A girl can never have to many clothes!

Until next time,

-Kate and Lauren.

Stationery - school

Well it's that time of year again, everyone is getting ready for another year of learning (and maybe exams). There's one thing that should be top of everyone's list. Stationery.

Everyone needs pens, pencils and of course felt tip pens for doodling in those boring classes.

My favourite part of back to school shopping is definitely stationery and supplies, I usually get all my things from Wilkos as it's cheap and excellent quality! This year I was in need of folders, notebooks and a diary as I'm starting college and I found Wilkos had a fabulous range of these products at very good prices. For example I bought these 3 coloured folders for only 50p each!!

Also this beautiful diary with the quote "Every journey begins with a single step" which I found perfect. It's also great as it's an academic diary so it starts July 2015 and ends July 2016.

I'm actually a pretty organised person (though many people don't believe it!) and so when I saw this project book I knew I had to have it. You may be aware of the 'Pukka pad' project books, well I love them but always find them a little on the expensive side but when I saw Wilkos had their own it went straight into my basket!

Now pens are a very important aspect of stationery shopping. My favourite types of pens are the 'Bic' pens as they're great quality. I bought a packet of 10 in Wilkos, which included 2 black pens, 4 blue pens, 2 red pens and 2 green pens.
However when I was in The Works I saw a very cute blue pen covered in ice creams with smily faces so obviously I bought that too because every girl needs a cute pen!

Anyway, I hope this post has given you a few ideas of any stationery you may need for back to school!

Our next post on Sunday is a joint one all about style.

Until then, byeeeee
- Lauren
